Have you ever felt like someone is staring at you? Most of us probably have felt like that at some time.

On my way to church this past Sunday, while stopped at a red light, I felt that way. In turning my head to look, I saw big eyes looking right back at me. Seeing it was a dog in the passenger’s seat of that vehicle, I turned my head forward again and laughed out loud.

In turning to look again, I saw the driver of the vehicle didn’t even notice but the dog’s focus was right on me. Even as he turned left, the dog’s head turned toward me, not taking his eyes off of me.

It’s not that often that I really laugh out loud any more, but this was so funny that I just couldn’t help it. I know that laughter is good medicine and God knows just how to provide it for us. He knows what we’ve been through and what we will be going through, and He knows what we will need.

Had I not turned my head to look at the car next to me, I would have missed out on that occasion to laugh. I have learned by now that it’s really all right to look, not being worried about what the person might think.
