Romans 8:38-39
READ: 1 John 4:7-21
When my son Daniel was about four years old, he liked to repeatedly ask me the question, “Dad, why do numbers never end?” His young mind was perplexed with the concept of infinity, and he was looking to me for answers.
At first I was at a loss and didn’t know how to answer. Then, very quickly, it hit me. I confidently answered Daniel, “Numbers never end because God’s love never ends.” Even though my answer could have (and should have) spurred many more questions from Daniel, the answer satisfied his curiosity. For several years after his initial question, Daniel (and his brothers) would ask me the same question over and over again. I would always give the same answer. Answering the same way every time seemed to comfort them.
So many of us live lives filled with perplexing and troubling situations. We struggle, strain, worry, and often wear ourselves out trying to get our heads around problems in our lives that we just don’t understand. The Good News is that the infinite love of Jesus is the answer to all our troubles. Because His love never ends, we can have the blessed assurance that nothing can ever separate us from that love (Romans 8:39). If you’ve never trusted Jesus with your life, then I invite you to do so today. Fall into his loving arms, and there you will stay forever. If you have already trusted Jesus with your life, then may this be a wonderful reminder that God’s love for you never, ever ends.
Lord, thank you for loving me. I am so glad your love for me is unconditional and goes on for infinity. Because of your great love for me, help me to show that same love to others today.
God’s love has no beginning and no end. Praise be to God!

I loved the explanation for infinity. GOD and his love is infinite. It is so wonderful that you taught this to your son. He will treasuRe it forever. XO nanc

When I focus on God as I walk through my day I am content and know His presence! Praising Him and praying for others. I am retired so I don’t have the distractions that can easily change my course for the day. Praying and praising God has shown me his infinite love as he walked with me in many life experiences. God sent me a Christian mentor who stayed beside me for 20 years. We now live in different states. God changed me for His purpose and plan to be in His presence as a Prayer Warrior! I kneel at His feet and praise Him for the precious blood of Jesus. I know He has always been with me and that He will always be with me and I in Him when I am released from this earth.
The greatest gift of retirement is to walk away from distractions to pray!
