Psalm 103: 10-12
Yesterday, I heard someone say, “Well I deserve all my suffering and pain.” And I thought, yes we do, we have sinned and we deserve all the diseases and difficulties of life. Then, in my morning Bible study, I read these verses. I hope they speak to you, too.
Psalm 103, verse 10: He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
So, once again my logic is not the logic of the Lord, and I am so thankful for that! His mercy is beyond my logic and my understanding.
Verse 11 states: For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him.
There is no earthly answer to "How far do the heavens go?", but if you search “How far does the Universe extend?”, you’ll get an approximate number of 13.8 light years, or about 6 billion-trillion miles. What mercy! Humans have no way to comprehend, it is awesomely mind boggling. Thank you Lord!
And in Verse 12: As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
I don’t know how far the east is from the west, and google doesn't even have an answer. Thank you Lord for your Mercy! Isn't He wonderful?
