What is the nature of our God the Father? "One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all" (Ephesians 4:6). He is the Creator, the All Knowing, the All Powerful, All Loving, Just and Merciful Father. God created us in His own image (Genesis 1:27) and so therefore He is the only One who truly knows us. We cannot hide anything from Him because He knows the very depths of our hearts and the details of every thoughts inside our brain. With Him all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). He is the All Powerful God, the One who has the right to all of His creations. The wonders and nature of the world are all His. Definitely, they are God's signature here on earth.

"One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all" (Ephesians 4:6)

Our Heavenly Father is the Father of all whom loved and cherished each one of His children. His love for us is forever unconditional. He loves us together with all our imperfections, stubbornness and weaknesses. But just like our human fathers, our God the Father also disciplines us because He treats us as His children. If we are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then we are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness (Hebrews 12:7-10). After the chastening, if we truly repent for our sins then our Father who is Just and Merciful will forgive us. One of us could be either the prodigal son or the lost sheep but in the end, if we repent, come back home and ask for forgiveness then certainly our Father's loving arms which are full of compassion, love and mercy will be waiting for us. In our return, our Father's heart will rejoice just as the man who found his lost sheep (Luke 15:3-7) and He will prepare a feast for us like what the father did for his prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32).

I am deeply grateful towards our Heavenly Father because right after He created me, He entrusted me to a kind of father who is generous, selfless and loving. As a person, I would describe him as a good reader and a singer (some of his God given talents). Now, he's using both of them to give glory to God by reading the Bible and sharing His words to others and serving Him through church and choir ministry where he belongs. As a father, he is a kind of man who is faithful to his responsibilities. He became a father at a very young age but it never became a hindrance for him to raise all of his children in a way God wants him to. And on the day he gave me away to a man who captured my heart, I found another treasure in the person of my husband. Like my father, he is equally loving and faithful. Next to God, me and my children are on top of his priorities. I could not ask for more. Through my father and my husband, God let me experience a kind of love that is true and faithful. But this is just a glimpse of what I am going to experience when I finally come home to the loving arms of our Almighty Father in heaven.
