There are ebbs and flows in our lives and the Lord was whispering to my heart in the midst of it all to "Praise Him". It was so easy when all was well with my soul. I had read early one morning from Psalm 96 verse 11, " Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all the things which fill it". I thought, if the heavens are glad, and the earth is rejoicing, and all of creation is praising, why am I not? My heart felt heavy. I was reminded that we were created for the sole purpose to worship our Heavenly Father. My husband and I had the opportunity to spend a week in the Outer Banks of NC. Ah, the ocean...the peaceful, relaxing sound of the pounding waves. Yes, the ebb and flow demonstrated before my very eyes. The awesome beauty of His power and might as I walked the beach feeling the sand between my toes. The feel and taste of the salty spray so cool to my skin. The sound of the sea gulls busily encircling me looking for their breakfast. The warmth of the sun with its rays warming me and bringing healing to my very soul. I felt so near to my Creator and felt the warmth of His love for me. The shades of blues of the sky, the puffiness of the white clouds, all this beauty created by our loving, Heavenly Father for us to enjoy. He shows His faithfulness in the glory of the sunrises and the sunsets in all their brilliance and glow of oranges and pinks; no two ever the same. All for our eyes to feast upon. I felt thankfulness, and gratefulness rise up in my heart, and praise for His goodness and loving-kindness was upon my lips. I went back home to daily life with it's ebbs and flows with a renewed sense of His beauty all around me every day. Let praise be continually upon my lips for His goodness, love, and faithfulness. Psalm 100:4-5
