The devotion by Tim Gustafson, on July 8th, reminded me of the first print I created based on Matthew 7:13-14 which talks about the narrow and the wide gates. It was July of 2000, the summer I moved home. The image was inspired by leaving the cobblestone streets of Minneapolis and following the yellow brick road back to Grand Rapids, MN. It also represents the Triune God: Father-Gold, Son-Purple, and Holy Spirit-Blue. I love the three colors together, but also, how each color can stand alone and yet, contain all three.
