Two words I really want to emphasize here—ALL and NEED. Paul is telling us here that God will provide for ALL your NEEDS. That’s needs, not wants. And He provides all, not some. What’s the difference between a want and a need? You want a new car, a computer, a night out, a new job. But do you really need those things? No. A need is food, shelter, clothes, the word of God. A need is something to sustain you, to provide the basics of human existence and spiritual comfort. Wants are just things that provide enjoyment for a while, but then they break, or wear out, or get boring and get cast aside. Fortunately for us, God knows the difference, and He knows just what we need at any given time. And He will provide ALL our NEEDS; we just need to let Him.

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
