"Lord, Your favor lasts for a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but how I thank You that rejoicing comes in the morning!"Psalm 30:5 We desire so to experience Your joy in answer to our long awaited prayers. I love this in the amplified Bible: "Your favor lasts for a lifetime" is stated as "in His favor is life". In Psalm 41:10-11 "The Lord is merciful and gracious to me, and raises me above my enemy. By this I know that You favor and delight in me, because my enemy does not triumph over me". By Your favor, O Lord, You have established me as a strong mountain; I said, I shall never be moved! Psalm 30:6-7 So...we see in His Word that His favor brings life, that because of His favor our enemy does not triumph over us, and He causes us to not be moved by our circumstances. His favor is also like a shield surrounding us. " You bless the righteous as with a shield" and that shield is made up of "goodwill, pleasure, and favor". Psalm 5:12 "For the Lord is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows grace and favor and glory and honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk up rightly." Psalm 84:11 How do we obtain this wonderful favor that comes from God alone? "He gives His undeserved favor to the lowly, the humble, and the afflicted." Proverbs 3:34. If you have experienced brokenness in your life, if you feel pressed in on every side, if circumstances surround you, and you feel overwhelmed, humble yourself before the very throne room of your heavenly Father, and you will obtain His undeserved favor. "...the riches and generosity of His gracious favor allows us to obtain redemption, deliverance and salvation through His blood." Ephesians 1:7 Thank You, Jesus! "So let this be the year of His favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who morn." Isaiah 61:2 These days we are living in, we need His favor! "God by His mercy grants us favor so that we do not get discouraged, despondent with fear or become faint with weariness and exhaustion." 2 Corinthians 4:1 Thank You, Lord God, our precious Heavenly Father that "Your favor lasts for a lifetime!"
