Counting on God's rule to prevail,
I take heart and gain strength.
I refuse to be defeated by troubles,
No matter their size or duration's length.
The ruler of the Universe is my Father,
The ruler of this planet is not;
I choose to trust in the promises of my Creator,
Depending on Him, whatever my lot.
This present world can be overwhelming
If I focus on all that I know is not right,
Yet there is a way to deal with it all,
Not through my eyes, but by my Father's sight.
He knows the glorious future He's planned-
His prophets have given the vision:
Life eternal with the Creator of us all,
If we only realize His Son's provision.
Jesus began and finished our race,
Putting up with anything along the way,
Making it possible for us to join Him
In a future beyond what we can imagine or say.
So I look to the time where God is dwelling with man,
There's no more death, mourning, crying or pain;
We dwell in the land promised to believers,
And we're reunited with our Creator again.
Habakkuk 3:19 (The Message) "Counting on God's rule to prevail, I take heart and gain strength." Hebrews 12: 2-3 (The Message) "Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed...he could put up with anything along the way:cross, shame, whatever. Now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!" Revelation 21:3-4 (NIV) "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Now the dwelling of God is with men and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.' " Revelation 22: 7,12,20 (NIV) "Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book." (Vs. 12) "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done." (Vs. 20) "He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.' "
