Have you ever felt like Job? Few of us, I believe, would compare ourselves to one who lost so much.
But I've often wondered where God went. I've asked Him why, and received no answer. Like Job, I've "[cried] out to [Him], but [He] does not answer; [I've stood] up, but [He] merely look[s] at me" (Job 20:30).

It's moments like these that test our faith in the Lord's trustworthiness. And He knows that. And when I've searched everywhere else for answers and solace, I find myself, like Peter, saying, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You hold the words of eternal life" (John 6:68).

God may be silent in your life now, but that does not mean He is not there. In His divine wisdom, He knows the silence will ultimately be for your good, to make you strong. Take heart. Cling to Him. Then you can say, with David, "I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word do I hope... For with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is abundant redemption" (Psalm 130:5, 7).
