Dear Virginia,
I want you to know that Christmas is so much more than Santa or a tree. It is much more than this world would have it be.
Christmas is about a gift - the greatest gift ever given - the gift God sent down from heaven.
That gift came into a world of sin, it came to a lowly stable, because there was no room in the inn.
It was wrapped in a simple white cloth, and on a bed of straw and hay, is where that first Christmas gift lay.
There was no Santa or decorated tree. There was no tinsel and holly displayed for the world to see.
The gift came that first Christmas morn, in the little town of Bethlehem, when Jesus Christ was born.
That special gift was God's own Son. He was given to the world to bring eternal life to everyone.
It is not important what we give or receive - what's important, is - do we believe?
The best gift you can receive is the one God did impart, and the best gift you can give, is to give Jesus your heart.
