Psalm 91: 1-2
With the gentle depression of the camera button, my husband Ken framed the sky, lake, and dock sporting two side by side chairs…capturing the sunset’s afterglow. I imagined sitting there holding hands, absorbing the beauty of the setting sun…encircled by its afterglow…while lake waters lapped the dock and cicadas sang their song.
Such pictures awake a longing for repeated peaceful afterglow evenings. However, that is impractical as sometimes storms obscure the setting sun. Obligations pull at us. And leisure eludes us.

We rested safely in that secret place lingering in the afterglow of God’s presence. Selah
