Revelation 3:5 The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.
As a youngster, I thought white shirts were a waste of time to wash, starch, store and wear. Obviously, men were still wearing cardboard collars at the end of the 50's, and it looked so out of place against the Arrow brand of nicely ironed business adornment. White was a super attractant for food and drink! Stain city!
Well, I grew up, and while on me, a white shirt is still a magnet for meal drips, I'm impressed with the couture of Men's Warehouse and a white top with a classy tie! White has been the dress of choice for government, business and church for more than a hundred years!
I work in TV and the goal of every camera engineer in the world is to match the white blocks on "chip charts" for every camera! Deleting the minutae of my engineering work, when the whites match up for all the studio cameras, you generally have all the picture falling into place!
It's the choice of heaven too! Only in that iteration, it's a reflection of the purity each Christian will have thanks to the RED blood of Jesus, which washes white as snow! White matches the forgiveness and washing Christ did for all mankind, who accept His blood of atonement. In fact, white is so important there, that if we are dressed in it, our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life!
Lord, since forgiveness is the progenitor of the white robes we will dress in, please draw all men to You so that we may be dipped in that cleansing blood!
