John 16:33
Each day I go to work and begin the same, more often unpleasant that not, work day. My work environment has become intolerable, even hostile, and discouraging. I have been praying and searching for a new job, but I know it isn't ready yet.
Each day I begin with a prayer for peace to accept my circumstances as they are as well as the long waiting process for the new job. I ask for His continual joy and hope. It is amazing to experience the ways He is with me every day, despite my circumstances, and can give me peace.
In John 16:33, Jesus reminds us that He has overcome the world. We will have trials and difficulties, and sometimes discouragement, but Christ is greater than these things!
When I walk into the office, I feel such great peace wash over me - when I remember that He is with me always, and that He already did the hard part and overcame the world. All I have to do is trust Him and make it through the day. This is when I feel like the trials at work can't touch me - because God is with me, and He has given me great peace. So when you feel that your troubles are great, remember that He is with you and can give you peace beyond all comprehension.
Praise: Thank you Jesus for reminding me daily of who you are and what you have done for me. Thank you for your wonderful peace.
