This story helps me when I'm tempted. This world offers so much to us and we think it will bring us joy or help us in our most sorrowful times, but it doesn't. Things like porn, money, power, etc. We think that things like that will give us what we truly "need". They don't. The only One that will provide for us and what we need is Jesus. He shows us in verse 10 that we only need God. "Away from me Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only." I feel like that verse says it all right there. We should only worship Him because He is the only One that brings us true joy, hope, and satisfaction.
