Let me tell you about God's faithfulness and how He revealed Himself and His glory to me and my family through His everyday miracles and divine interventions. . . .

"Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

It all started with my sufferings. Yes, through sufferings we can feel more of God's love, see more of His presence through everyday miracles and hear more of His voice and messages through His Holy Words. After we experienced, witnessed and heard Him, we definitely cannot help but to speak about Him.

That was July 18, 2012 when my right knee started to hurt. I limped until my leg muscles weakened and as a result, walking and even standing became a great challenge for me. I went for therapy and they gave me some medication but it made things worse when I suffered with insomnia, a side effect of the medicine. I could not walk, I could not sleep and I barely ate. I wondered why all these things were happening to me. Then God answered me through a beautiful dream. I dreamt that I was being held and lifted up by someone whom at first I thought was my husband but when I saw him from a distance running towards me holding a Bible announcing that God had an important message for me, I knew then that Someone far stronger and powerful was holding me. In the morning of that particular day as part of our daily routine, we took the Our Daily Bread devotional book and started to read the Scripture texts and the devotional article of the day. The Bible reading was from Hebrews chapter 12:1-13. . .undoubtedly, that was the important message of God that my husband was pertaining to in my dream.

Hebrews chapter 12:1-13 comprises everything that God wanted me to know during those difficult days of my life. Verses 5-7 stated "My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son. Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children" (Hebrews 12:5-7). In my weakest state, God showed me His strength by lifting me up. I was scared, confused and miserable but through His words He gave me an assurance and comfort that I am being loved by Him as His child.

Verses 10-11 said "They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it" (Hebrews 12:10-11). My sufferings not only strengthened our family bond but our faith as well. Through God's grace, I was able to endure my therapy and all the pain, disappointments and challenges that came with it. One day on the eve of my 38th birthday after one of those therapy sessions, we were being fetched by a cab driver with a very polite and kind manner. He was actually giving away pamphlets of Our Daily Bread, He gave me one entitled Anchor in a Storm and he said, "God bless" as we alighted from his cab. As if he knew what we were going through. Of course, he does because I believe that he was an angel and a messenger sent by God. After a few weeks, on our way to my therapy session, another message came. While waiting for a bus, someone sat beside me. .a woman holding a Bible and the pages were opened to the Book of Job. Somehow God gave me hope and encouragement through the story of Job.

Verses 1-3 gave me the core of His messages "Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart" (Hebrews 12:1-3). Indeed, my own sufferings were nothing compared to what our Lord went through. He was being mocked, humiliated and crucified. Through the Passion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ we have been saved. Through His faithfulness, love and mercy I was being healed. Verses 12-13 told me "Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak KNEES. Make level paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed."
