I love to read Readers Digest magazines. Somehow through their stories, mostly about travel, leisure, lifestyle and history I was given a chance to see the world in different times and places. It gave me new insights and new ideas too. Few days ago I had read an article entitled "Our Amazing Body". The author explained and showed each part of our human body, how it works perfectly and amazingly in order for us to live. I felt that the title of the article should instead be "An Amazing God behind Our Amazing Body". Our human body is one living proof of great miracles from God. There is only one explanation for why we were created this way. . . perfect and wonderful, because we are created in likeness of God. He gave us His own breath to create life within us. "The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life" (Job 33:4). His infinite grace, love and glory can be seen from all of His creations.

"Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous - how well I know it."

That would explain why every morning when I wake up, I cannot help myself but to praise and honor God for my very existence, for the Gift of Life He has given me. I am in awe of God's great love towards me for giving me millions of capabilities. When I push myself out of bed, without the strength and ability of my muscles to work I would not be able to get up. When I look at the mirror I can see my own reflection because God gave me the gift of sight. I can hear the giggling of my children from their room not far from us. I can smell the inviting aroma of coffee that my husband is brewing. I can walk towards them to give them kisses and hugs and I can whisper "I Love You" to them because our Amazing God has given me the ability to speak. A new day is just starting and my amazing body has already displayed countless miracles. Each part of my body functions perfectly the way God designed them. Isn't it too much display of God's power and might in our bodies alone? "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Through our amazing bodies let us keep on doing great things which are holy and pleasing to the eyes of our amazing God.
