CARRY THAT LOAD

Psalm 55:22
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
22 Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

What “weighs you down?” Think about that very closely, is it one thing, a series of things or are there several unrelated things? There are so many things that can weigh you down that you have to work very hard to try to prevent them from happening, but most people are usually unsuccessful at it. This makes me think about the book bags that kids, teens and adults use to carry their school books around. These bags can get very heavy and I have heard several stories of kids having back issues as a result. A good friend of mine who is taking college classes was telling me that her back pack was very heavy. She actually weighed it to see how heavy it really was and it weighed in at a whopping 25 pounds! That is a lot of weight to carry around and that will certainly weigh you down and slow you down, that is a big load to carry on your shoulders. And she is just a little petite woman lugging around all those books!
Think about how much weight you are actually carrying around every day and how it does not seem to be getting any lighter. If anything, it just seems to be getting heavier each day. It seems like you just keep walking through life every day without the load getting lighter and no one to help carry it. Your Lord Jesus Christ is the one you need to give all your burdens to and he will help get that excess weight off of your shoulders and ease your load. He does this in various ways, by bringing the proper people into your life to help you carry your load, by providing you with the things you need to get those burdens off like peace, comfort, strength, wisdom and whatever you need. You can receive this help by praying to Him, reading His word and seeking and doing His will. It will all come together. You do not have to carry that load all by yourself, there is help. But, you will never have that entire load off of your shoulders because it is good to carry some of it to keep you on the proper path, perspective and remind you not to go back to where you came from. So, you do not have to be a body builder or the worlds strongest man/woman to make your way through this world. You just need to trust your Lord and give it to Him and you will have all the help you need to “Carry That Load!”
Have a Blessed Day!
