Luke 12:6
Just as she is putting on her makeup, the phone rings. She needs to be at work in 20 minutes, and she thinks, “If it is important, they will call back later.” Little does she know that a sparrow has fallen, and that sparrow is in need of prayer.
Her “To-Do” list is full of things to get done before they leave on vacation, so she will have to go visit her elderly friend when she returns. Yes, she knows it has been awhile since she sat and visited with her, but this week there is just not enough time. Little does she know that a sparrow has fallen and the sparrow is being overwhelmed by loneliness.
On her way to meet friends for breakfast she runs in the store to pick up a few things. The lady working in the produce department looks up and her eyes are filled with silent tears. Any other day she would stop and talk with the produce lady, but she is running late for breakfast. Little does she know that a sparrow has fallen and grief is tearing the sparrow’s heart apart.
After church on Sunday, she goes out for lunch. When she finally gets seated (she had to wait for a table), it seems as if she got the only waitress in the place that has been on the job for two minutes. She was glad that the sermon was on patience for it kept her from blowing her witness. Little did she know that a sparrow had fallen and bodily pain was making it difficult for the waitress to even think, but she had to be at work in order to feed her family.
Lord, open my eyes to the fallen sparrows.
