Galatians 3:28
Recently, I discovered that baking cookies with my children not only will give us some sweet treats but sweet moments as well. As we molded the dough to a different shapes and finished it off with our favorite toppings, our cookies ended up with different shapes, sizes and appearances. My eldest son just wanted a cookie which has plain and simple look but my younger son liked it more tastier and bigger therefore he added more jam, sesame seeds and even more sugar. Me, on the other hand does not care much about the taste or appearance. I just want mine to have nuts, lots and lots of them. But it doesn't matter anyway, because in the end all our cookies tasted equally delicious after all and we were very satisfied for what we have made.
Then I came to realized that though God created us differently when it comes to our physical appearance, talents, abilities and personalities. . .we are all considered equal in the eyes of our Creator. "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28) simply because "God created man in His own image" (Genesis 1:27). "God saw all that He had made, and it was very good" (Genesis 1:31). He created us with different looks and personalities but in the end what matters to Him is whether we accomplished His purpose for us. Just like our cookies, it may vary in sizes, appearance, textures and even the taste but what's important was that it served its purpose in the end. . . to make us full and satisfied.
