John3:16
Hello Spring!
Spring time in the Pacific Northwest is such a wonderful time of the year. The days are getting longer with additional daylight and we can plan more outdoor activities.
What is there about springtime that brings about a renewal mindset? Perhaps it is the beauty of this season that brings about some fresh new ideas and warm thoughts of birds singing, blossoms budding, and temperatures changing. The trees and bushes that seemed to be dead in the winter spring to life again and will soon be full of radiant colors and beautiful blossoms.
Mark Twain put it this way: “It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!”
This wonderful time of the year ushers in Easter the last weekend in March. The Bible teaches that the resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of the Christian faith. The poignant words of John 3:16 illustrate just how much God loves us, and Easter celebrates that revelation. He is there 24/7, 365 days a year loving us unconditionally. WOW what a love! And, He asks us to love Him and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
As we glide into spring, let’s think about a renewal of our attitudes to love and serve those around us, and to love God with all our heart, all our soul, and all our might.
Happy Spring Time!
