My sister and I were leaving a restaurant when she looked up and noticed a dramatic gathering of clouds hanging extremely low. Awestruck by the sky’s unusual appearance, I took pictures in hopes of finding out the name and description of these unique clouds.

In my research, I learned that these clouds are called mammatus clouds. They appear as a cluster of deep balloon pockets hanging from the base of other
clouds. They are called forerunners or messengers because they often indicate that a storm or extreme weather is coming. Indeed, we did have major storms that night.

I had an aha moment. If God put such intricate care and detail into nature that He SPOKE into existence, there is no comparison to His elaborate love and care He has for you and me, whom He MADE in His image.

Here is a message for you. Whenever you are feeling dismayed because there is a lack of sun shining in your life and dark clouds are trying to disrupt your joy and peace, hold on to God's love and His promises. Encourage yourself knowing that if God tells the sun when to rise and sends clouds to deliver a message…you can undoubtedly trust Him to take care of you and the storms in your life.
