"God has healed me instantaneously when the doctors had said that I was dying."

“We do not know what to do but our eyes are on you” (2 Chronicles 20:12). Do you keep your eyes on God, watching and expecting Him to show up in times of trouble? The Bible is full of times when He was actively involved in our lives. Think of the parting of the Red Sea, or the miracle of water coming out of a rock. “Is the Lord among us or not?” (Exodus 17:7). The Israelites were not convinced that the Lord was present. The Exodus and many miracles in their wilderness did not change their attitude. Does it change yours’?

Jesus changed water into wine. He calmed the storm on Galilee, fed 5000 from a bag lunch, healed blind men and paralytics, and raised Lazarus before rising from the grave Himself. Jesus asked the man paralyzed for 38 years at the pool, “Do you believe that I am able to do this (heal you)?” (Matthew 9:28). Did the man really believe, or had he become so complacent that nothing was possible. Have we become so content with our poor condition or finances, or health or job that we don’t look for something more? Are you cynical or not trusting or believing? “Everything is possible to the one who believes” (Mark 9:23).

Life is not easy and gets harder as you get older. That is not a negative view of life; it is just the way it is. The valley of the shadow of death is pretty much the way life is most of the time. But God is with us telling us to fear not.

Paul wrote the book of Philippians with contentment from prison saying, “I can do all things through Him (Christ) who strengthens me…He will supply for all my needs in His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:12,19).

God has healed me instantaneously when the doctors had said that I was dying. He has wrapped me in His arms when I did not know the love of the Father. He has healed me instantly when I was in deep depression and afraid of life while pastoring a church. He has filled me with His hope and life and truth. I trust in His ways, thoughts, and timing and know that they are higher than ours.

All things are possible through Christ and He says, “I am willing, be clean!” (Mark 1:41).
