What is grace? It is God’s unmerited favor, bestowed upon us. Not because of anything we have done or are to earn His commendation, but because He loves us so much and so desires fellowship with us that he bestows His favor on us at salvation. Wow! It’s not anything we do; not at all. Works cannot and will not save us. Only God’s undeserved favor through His Son, Jesus Christ, can be placed in our lives, never to be lost or taken away. It’s a gift; we can’t do anything to earn. Not all our wealth or possessions or status can earn God’s grace. In fact, those things will likely keep us from it because we put too much importance on who we are and what we have or what we do to be willing to accept grace. Unmerited favor. Seek God and it will be granted to you.
