Colossians 4:5-6
Problems can be overwhelming, especially when they strike us in the most unexpected time. They make us fearful, anxious, and weak. If we do not put our shields up to protect our hearts from the works of the enemy, we will find ourselves stuck below, with all our problems devouring the good fruits that God wants us to harvest. Jesus reminds us to make the most of every opportunity (v.5) When problems come, God is on a mission of making us more like Him. Instead of asking how we can solve these problems, let us surrender all of these to Him and ask, "How can I be more like Jesus in this situation?" Let us be more concerned on who we are becoming, than get caught up on what we are getting--or not getting from our painful situations. God always knows what we are going through as much as He knows what is going on within us. He sees our hearts and what it needs, what it should desire, what it should beat for. He can align our hearts to His will even in the most troubling, chaotic, and confusing chapters in our lives if we allow ourselves to be still in Him. May our lives be an extension of His love and grace, no matter what season we find ourselves into.
