A baby in his crib is crying to be fed. He doesn't know his mother is near - not a sound does he hear.
The mother is certainly not one to dawdle, so she is busily preparing his bottle.
There's no denying that she is aware of her baby's frantic crying, but she knows too, that there are things she must do...
The bottle, with milk she does fill. And then heats it, to take off the chill.
The baby certainly doesn't know why his mother seems so slow. He begins to loudly scream - what can this silence mean?
The baby now feels all alone. He begins to feel...'mom's not at home!'
Little fists beat the air - does this mean she doesn't care?!
How can the baby understand, that his mother hears him, and she has a plan?
Isn't that the way we sometimes are, when God seems to be very far?
When we face unanswered prayer - we always wonder - "Does He care?!"
Like the baby, we don't understand, that when God is silent - He has a plan.
