As our Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ leads and provides for his sheep. “Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture” (Psalms 100:3). Because we belong to God, he watches over us as a good shepherd. Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.” (John 10:14).
