How does God measure our worth, our value, our contribution on earth?
He measures it by the desires of our heart; all the good tings we wish to impart.

"Be still and know that I am God." - Psalm 46:10

It's not so much what we do, but have we to our Lord been true? Have we desired Him above all else; have we been willing to give up our self?
Are we like Mary - who simply sat at His feet, while Martha was busy preparing Him something to eat...

Jesus told Martha many things were troubling her heart, and that Mary had chosen the better part. The sitting, the waiting at Jesus' feet is what makes life complete. Maybe our time of physical service is done; maybe it's time to just relish the Son.

Yesterday we were Martha, busily working; today we are Mary, and we feel God's work we are shirking. But ' there is a time and season to everything under the sun'- a time to work, and a time to be done; a time for doing and a time for being, and I think it is the latter time we may now be seeing.

This is a new season of life - we'll soon walk that Golden Street, but for now let's just sit and learn at Jesus' feet.
